The Future

From isolation to integration — supporting Haiti into the 21st century

The end of isolation

In 1993, when we were founded, the Haitian countryside was as it had been for centuries — known by the name "Pays en Dehors" (the land beyond).

Today the use of mobile phones is widespread in rural areas. New technologies allow us to guide and continuously monitor the progress of the actions launched during our missions, all of which respond to local requests and needs.

Digital & Education

To support Haiti into the 21st century, internet connections and access to computing must become available to all.

Join us and help us equip La Pléiade and La Main Divine with computers and reliable internet connections that whole communities will benefit from.

Electrohaïti — Solar Energy

Experiments with mini photovoltaic power plants conducted in Africa and Haiti have transformed villagers' lives (PowerGen, Earth Spark).

Our aim

To set up a collective, cost-effective solar energy source in the Cange area.

Current goal — Observe to innovate

To identify a site combining the right topographic, demographic and human conditions and the potential economic interest to justify installing a solar mini-grid.

At present, the "Bas Cange" area, a Lake Péligre community with two hatchery basins for local aquaculture and a school, would warrant a first specialist scouting mission.

We are ready, within the limits of our current budget, to bear the costs of this mission, whose conclusions will guide the next steps of our efforts towards the project being taken on by a recognised leader in renewable energy for development.
